General Hospital Recap: Monday, June 19 – Nina Tells a New Lie – ‘Eddie’ Rejects Leo – Jordan Resigns

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, June 19, reveals that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) insisted he was Eddie Maine and refused to believe he was Olivia Quartermaine’s (Lisa LoCicero) husband or Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) dad.

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) tried to remind Ned of when he hit his head after falling at the Metro Court pool, but he called her “lady” and had no clue what she was talking about.

After everyone stepped out of Ned’s room, Olivia feared this could be like Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) brain injury and that Ned might never remember his real past.

Although “Eddie Maine” was just Ned’s rockstar persona once upon a time, now he legitimately believed he was a version of Eddie and wanted nothing to do with his family.

TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) spoke with Ned’s loved ones and mentioned calling for a specialist.

The doc also warned that Ned could be facing a long recovery process since the brain was so complicated.

Once Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) brought Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) to GH, Leo got a pep talk from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and later snuck in Ned’s room.

When Leo tried to call Ned his dad, “Eddie” insisted he wasn’t anybody’s father. Leo tried to remind Ned that he adopted him, but Ned continued to deny it.

Afterward, Tracy gave Leo updates on Ned’s brain injury causing some memory issues, but she felt that Ned still knew who they were somewhere deep inside.

At the Metro Court, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) pressured Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) until he finally admitted that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) kissed Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Zeke confirmed that he knew because Jordan admitted it during their night together.

Later, Portia confronted Curtis, who insisted it was just one kiss a few weeks ago.

When Curtis suggested it made him want to give his marriage another shot, Portia sarcastically asked if she should send Jordan a “thank you” card.

Portia was upset over Curtis keeping the kiss a secret, but he didn’t think it compared to decades of lying about Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity mystery.

Curtis acknowledged that he’d been confiding in Jordan when the lip lock happened, but he wanted to put Jordan in the past.

After Curtis begged Portia not to give up on them when they were so close to getting back on track, she pulled her hands away.

Portia wanted to believe Curtis, but she clearly needed time to process everything and ran off in tears.

Near the pool, Zeke surprised Trina by suggesting it’d be best if she kept her distance from Curtis for the time being.

At Sonny’s place, Ava Jerome (Maura West) spoke to Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) over the phone and suggested maybe she could get the key to Sonny’s home office.

Austin worried this might not be the right time to dig for Pikeman info, but Ava wondered when she’d ever get another chance.

However, Ava heard Pilar (Brenda Barberena) the nanny coming and disconnected so she could pretend she was just chilling on the sofa with a magazine.

Pilar seemed suspicious of Ava as she left and noticed that a drawer had been left open from where Ava was rummaging.

Back at the hospital, Austin found a woozy Laura Collins (Genie Francis), so she explained that she’d had some bloodwork done for her Chechnya trip.

Austin did his best to talk Laura out of going somewhere so dangerous and even worked the mayor angle by acting like he was a concerned constituent.

Nevertheless, Laura stood her ground and later stopped by Jordan’s office to ask for her resignation as police commissioner.

Jordan was taken aback, but Laura explained that she needed Jordan to be her deputy mayor right away.

Although Jordan resisted the idea at first, she eventually agreed to slide in the deputy mayor role and step up for Laura while she was gone.

In the meantime, Ava had a secret meeting with Austin, who pushed her to convince Sonny to fire Pilar since she was already suspicious.

That’d open the door to a new nanny who could be more useful, so Ava got on board with the plan.

Once Nina found out what the Quartermaines were going through, she told Sonny that her own problems didn’t seem so bad.

Sonny still wanted to know why Nina was so frantic earlier, so she lied about dropping her engagement ring down the drain.

Of course, Sonny acted like that was nothing since they could call the plumber and grew concerned about how Nina had been acting.

Nina made it seem like she had truly terrible news.

Although Nina insisted she adored the ring and reminded Sonny that it was expensive, he assured her that it was just a piece of jewelry.

After Sonny made it clear that all that mattered was being with Nina, he pulled her into a warm embrace.

General Hospital spoilers say Nina has some other tight spots ahead of her, so stay tuned.
