Savannah Chrisley Shares Haunting Moment She’ll Never Forget

Savannah Chrisley was a guest on the latest episode of the podcast called Off The Vine With Kaitlyn Bristowe. During the podcast, the reality TV star princess spent some time opening up about her parents’ current situation. Namely, she talked to Kaitlyn Bristowe about the haunting moment her parents received their sentencing. A moment that would replay constantly in her head. A moment she would never forget.

Todd Chrisley’s daughter reminds Kaitlyn that this trial lasted four weeks. And, Savannah remembers sitting in the courtroom every single day of that four-week trial. Moreover, she remembers it taking three days for the verdict to come down and her parents to get convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion.

For Savannah, it is the moment the verdict was finally read that will live with her in her mind forever. Savannah Chrisley tells Kaitlyn Bristowe she will ALWAYS remember the chilling look on the faces of her parents when they read the guilty verdict.

I will never forget when they stood up to read the verdicts and it was like, guilty, guilty, guilty, like over and over and over again. And I just saw the looks on my parents’ faces and just everything, they were just in tears. We were not expecting that, we were like, ‘There’s no way.’”

Was going to trial a mistake?

Many Chrisley Knows Best fans believe going to trial was an egotistical mistake on Todd and Julie’s part. Legal experts, other reality TV stars, fans, and even the federal judge that handed down the sentencing agreed that Todd and Julie going to court was a mistake. Many assume Todd’s ego got the best of him and he assumed people loved him and would never convict him of these crimes.

Per the judge, however, the book was thrown at Todd and Julie because they didn’t admit any guilt to their crimes. As Savannah Chrisley has explained on her podcast, admitting guilt was something her parents couldn’t do for a couple of reasons. The first is the fact that her parents did not commit these crimes. And, the second being that they planned to appeal and couldn’t do so if they admitted any guilt.

Presently, it remains unclear whether Todd and Julie will even get a retrial, though they remain hopeful it is going to happen. Many fans and legal experts think getting a different outcome is wishful thinking on Todd and Julie’s part as there are mountains of evidence against them.
