American Pickers to Travel to Arkansas

History Channel’s American Pickers have Arkansas on their January agenda as part of their hunt for rusty gold. Childhood friends, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, spend their days driving around the country seeking antiques for their two stores, both named Antique Archeology, that are located in LeClaire, Iowa and Nashville, Tennessee.

The History Channel describes the duo as ‘two of the most skilled pickers in the business’ and they earn their living ‘by scouring the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages, and barns.’

Mike and Frank love finding the most rare antiques but they believe the best part of their journeys ‘is meeting the unique characters along the way, each with a story to tell about the history of their collection and their own lives.’

Mike and Frank bring the past to life and recycle America as they go. They use their determination, expertise, and charm to strike the ultimate deals and discover just what it takes to re-sell a newly founded antique in a competitive market.

Some of the items they are looking to buy are: motorcycles, motor scooters, pre-60’s bicycles, old toys, vending machines, movie posters, firefighter collectibles, folk art, vintage advertising items, taxidermy, sports memorabilia, Civil War antiques, any unusual items, and more.

If you have a large collection, or want to refer someone, email your name, number, city, state, and a description of the collection, to: [email protected]. They also prefer detailed photos of your items. Producers ask you to please note that they do not accept retail shops, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses, or anything open to the public.
