On Sunday, the American Pickers star posted photos of the outside of the home, revealing a covered porch coming off the tower he recently had added.

The snap showed him holding an old black-and-white pic of the house, which looked strikingly similar to what Mike was doing with his renovations.

Mike then shared photos from the inside of the newly added portion of the home, showing a bump-out with windows stretching from floor to ceiling.

The TV personality closed out the post by showing off the amber-colored fireplace with a large gold mirror on top and a massive vintage bike sitting next to it.

In his caption, he explained some of the choices he made.

“The 1873 Italianate I’ve been working on for a few yes in Columbia TN is coming together. This house was missing the tower and the porch,” he began.

“The millwork along with the craftsmanship of the masonry has brought it back to its formal glory.”

“Places like this to me belong to the community People come and go we’re all just caretakers. In the end the properties endure if we prioritize their significance to each towns story,” he concluded.

He gave a closer look at the porch on his Instagram Story, capturing a close-up of the framing around the roof.

The porch features arches that appear to be made of wood and metal.

“Each piece milled to perfection to bring back this beautiful porch,” he wrote.

Mike showed it from the inside looking out as well.

“It’s been two years to get to this point and it feels so good,” he wrote.

He also shared a photo of plans for the project, thanking his contractor and teased more projects ahead, filming a row of porch rails hanging as they were getting primed.

Over another pic of the porch’s ceiling, Mike wrote, “It’s all in the details.

NICE WORK
While some fans have been critical of the project, the TV star’s explanation seemed to quell some concerns that he was making poor choices with his design.

In the comments fans fawned over the house, telling Mike how much they liked the look and appreciated his dedication to preserving history.

“Love seeing this preservation work, Mike! Every time we lose a heritage building, our communities lose a piece of their soul. Saving them retains their history, story, community associations and is the most sustainable approach to development,” one person wrote.

A second supporter penned, “Absolutely beautiful home! Built by craftsmen and artists who cared about their work and building homes they were proud of.”

“Wow, Mike! That’s beautiful. The architecture is amazing!” gushed a third.

A fourth commented, “Wow. Those details make the house. It’s a beauty. Making things whole again.”

“Historically Beautiful!” complimented a fifth fan.

“Wow, so nicely done so far! Awesome work,” one user praised.

MOVING ALONG
Mike shared an update on his home renovation project in August that set fans off.

He posted a photo of himself sitting in front of the home on his Instagram Stories.

The photo showed the star relaxing on a partially complete porch.

He sat in an antique rocking chair wearing a grey T-shirt, green chinos, and work boots.

The chair was positioned on top of plywood slats and the partially exposed framework of the house was visible.

Mike rested his head against the bare wall of the house as he enjoyed the shade provided by the partially complete roof of the porch.

He captioned the post, “Done enough to feel the vibes.”

Mike has been remodeling the entrance of the historic home for quite some time.

He bought the 3,166-square-foot house for $700,000 on May 20, 2022.

The house has three bathrooms, a basement, a wooden deck, a detached carport, a cabana, a utility building, and other amenities.

Photos obtained exclusively by The U.S. Sun reveal that Mike extended the home’s entrance into a turret, or tower.

When he shared the initial update, the turret window was not yet installed, and the roof was still under construction.

POOR PICK
Mike’s home renovation project is just one thing he’s working on revamping.

He’s also in the midst of a major restoration project of a quiet town in Tennessee.

Residents in Columbia, Tennessee, have been split over the many changes Mike has made to the town, which is the “mule capital of the world.”

He extended his real estate portfolio, buying several properties, including Two Lanes vacation rental and bike shop Columbia Motor Alley, in the Nashville exburb.

In June, The U.S. Sun revealed the Antique Archaeology owner bought another commercial property for $400,000 in December 2023.

The building is 1,240 square feed and was originally built in 1920.

“It’s kind of interesting because a lot of people don’t want change and some people do, so we’re in that flux,” a town source exclusively told the U.S. Sun of Mike bringing new businesses to the town.

The went on, referencing construction on the property near Columbia Motor Alley, saying, “They are building a six-story condo with a restaurant. Next to that is going to be a car place.

“The town is changing rapidly.”

An insider told The U.S. Sun, “The project is costing $93 million” and although citizens are somewhat reluctant to change, others support the economic boost.
