General Hospital’s Ava Jerome is tied to Austin Holt ever since he helped her cover up Nikolas Cassadine‘s “death.” However, it may go deeper for Austin.

He seems genuinely smitten with Ava on GH, and she is drawn to him too. Perhaps, their scheming may soon turn into romance on the ABC soap.

General Hospital: Austin Holt & Ava Jerome Partners-In-Crime

Not long ago on GH, Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) caught Ava Jerome (Maura West) trying to dispose of Nikolas Cassadine‘s (Adam Huss) body at Wyndemere. His first instinct was to go to the cops. Instead, he decided to help her.

Of course, he didn’t expect his cousin Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) to snatch Nick’s body. But now that Mason and his mysterious lady boss have Nik, they also have Ava and Austin right where they want them.

And now it’s Austin’s job to ensure Ava follows orders on General Hospital. Indeed, that’s no easy task. But it is bringing them closer together.

Ava & Austin in Danger on GH

Currently, Ava is in an awful position. Mason and the mystery boss want her to get info from her kingpin baby-daddy Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). More specifically, they want info on his dealings with Pikeman Security.

Of course, her new mission is almost impossible because of her and Sonny’s rocky past. They share a daughter Avery Corinthos (Scarola twins). But that’s the only reason Sonny tolerates her on General Hospital.

He still holds her responsible for his son, Morgan Corinthos‘ (Bryan Craig) death. And he would have killed her a long time ago if it wasn’t for Avery. Indeed, Sonny doesn’t trust Ava.

And he wouldn’t let anything about his mob business slip in front of her. So, if she wants to get any info from him, she’s going to have to do some digging. But if he catches her, she’ll be in deep trouble.

He may not kill her because of Avery. But he can certainly keep Avery away from her. So now Ava is stuck between a rock and a hard place on General Hospital.

Austin Putting on the Pressure

Ava either risks Sonny catching her or risks being killed by Mason. So, Austin is trying to convince Ava that it’s in her best interest to cooperate. He says he’s trying to protect her, and that could very well be true.

Even though Ava is livid with Austin for forcing her to do this, they seem to have a pretty solid friendship. Moreover, Austin’s feelings seem to go deeper than that. It seems that he’s starting to develop feelings for Ava on General Hospital.

No doubt, there is a spark between them, especially when they start sparring. And this dangerous situation that they’re in could give them a shove past friendship and into romance.

“Jolt” the New General Hospital Power-Couple?

Last we saw Ava and Dr. Austin, he opened up to her a little and expressed the way she makes him feel. And it’s clear that she gets to him. They had a serious vibe going, and Austin almost seem to be flirting with her.

And she seems to be into him as well. Of course, Ava’s angry with Austin right now, but that doesn’t mean they won’t grow closer. The tension between them may turn into passion and bubble over.

No doubt that appears to be the direction General Hospital is going in with them. And soon “Jolt” could become Port Charles’ hot new couple.
