How Scout’s School Choice Destroys All of General Hospital

It’s a new GH mob war for Drew, Carly, Ava, and Sonny.

November sweeps is one of the four times a year that General Hospital highlights the stories they believe are most important. So, the fact that they spent time on Drew Cain trying to convince Scout to switch from public school to a private one has to mean this is the beginning of a major arc destined to pull in all of Port Charles’ major players. Here’s how we anticipate it going down.

General Hospital: Where the Elite Meet

We’ve been informed that Port Charles University is a college so highly regarded that it’s worth turning down Stanford for. As a result, we have to assume that the local private elementary school is just as competitive to get into. You can’t just march and sign up — even if you can pay full tuition, plus throw in a gym or two. Scout (Cosette Abinante) is going to have to apply and prove why they should accept her over any other candidate.

Just as Good

This is where Carly (Laura Wright) comes in. Once she hears that her boyfriend’s daughter might be going to Westwood Prep, she’ll want to have Donna apply, too. After all, her precious baby is just as good, if not better than anybody else’s. But, what if there is only one spot available? Carly will turn to Sonny (Maurice Benard) for help. Surely, he can have a chat with the principal to explain why Donna (Scarlett Spears) is a much better fit than Scout.

Third-Party

Now, if that happens, Ava (Maura West) won’t stand for Donna getting a top-notch education while her sister, Avery (Ava & Grace Scarola), languishes somewhere not as good. Ava will insist Sonny get Avery in, as well. So now there are three girls competing for admissions. Will Sonny back Donna or Avery? Will Carly sabotage Drew’s daughter to push forward her own? So much gripping drama! No wonder it was a story worthy of November sweeps placement!
