General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin’s Evil Twin Takes Over?

Spoilers and speculations regarding General Hospital tease Since leaving Chechnya, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hasn’t been acting like himself.

Could Valentin have a malicious twin or a doppelgänger who has taken his place and is framing him and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)—while the real Valentin is being held hostage somewhere—and the imposter is framing them both?

Why Didn’t Valentin Cassadine Go To Anna Devane First?

It’s true that Valentin had promised to check in on Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) after Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) sent him home.

Valentin had also called Anna to inform her that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) should only work with the Pikeman representative he was familiar with.

After “murderer” was spray-painted in red on Anna’s front door, he had been apprehensive to travel to Chechnya to seek for Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

He’d taken a picture with his phone before Anna washed it off and sent it to Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).

That’s what she and Anna were talking about at the Metro Court prior to the sniper attacks that missed Anna and Sonny, but hit Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Valentin Cassadine Didn’t Pick Up Charlotte Cassadine Till After The Fire

Even though he was in town a few days before to the fire at Anna’s home, Valentin didn’t go to pick up his daughter Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) until after it had occurred.

That seems rather out of character for Valentin, who adores his daughter and succumbed to his father’s extortion because Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was holding her hostage.

Although Nikolas was still missing, he had no qualms about informing Spencer that he was now the family’s head and that he wanted to hold Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay).

Valentin did appear to have gotten attached to the baby in Greenland, carrying him on the way to the rescue craft before Spencer caught up.

But that doesn’t provide answers for Valentin’s strange behavior after arriving in Port Charles from Chechnya in regards to delaying connection with his girlfriend and daughter.

Is This Valentin Cassadine An Imposter?

It’s unlikely that Valentin has a secret evil twin, unless it’s one that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) hid from both Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) and Victor.

It is possible, considering how she treated her daughter Irina Cassadine (Alyshia Ochse) hiding her in the basement and keeping drugged up like an insane woman. Irina could also have been Victor’s, therefore Valentin’s sister, although that has never been investigated.

But it’s entirely possible that this Valentin, who has just returned from Chechnya, is a fake, set up by whoever is out to get Anna.

He is suspected of starting the fire himself because of how he behaved with her and Charlotte, as well as because he may have some ulterior motives for Spencer and Ace.
