The Clay twins have stolen our hearts
When Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) gave birth to her son Baby Ace in February General Hospital viewers were stunned to see a 4-month-old instead of a newborn. The explanation is that because of COVID the ABC studio not desiring to use young babies. GH fans are delighted about this bonus because everyone has fallen in love with Joey and Jay Clay the twins who are portraying Esme’s son with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Hauss).
The Clay twins are represented by Zuri Talent Agency and are 2 of the most beautiful and photogenic babies ever. As Ace, they light up the screen with their presence and are adorably cute and the cast as well as the fans enjoy the character. Ace was never fussy and did not cry during the drama in Greenland. He cooed and smiled as if on cue. This baby was being handled by so many different people and yet he never showed frustration or fear.
Baby Ace is a natural
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had a rather grim-looking nanny caring for Ace on the Haunted Star and at times he was in the arms of Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves) and later Trina Robinson (Tabyanna Ali). As Trina confided in the child that she knew his big brother was still alive Ace seemed so happy and a few times he looked off-camera as if perhaps his parents were standing nearby.
When Valentin Cassadine ( James Patrick Stewart) was trying to convince Trina they had done all they could and did not locate Spencer he stopped once, looked directly at Baby Ace, and could not help but smile. The child was in Trina’s arms longer than he had been shown in other scenes even with his mother and he did such a good job. Later Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was carrying her grandson and then he was back in Valenntin’s arms when Trina had her exciting reunion with Spencer.
Ace is now headed back to Port Charles where he will be reunited with his mother on Thursday based to spoilers saying Esme will rush to General Hospital. It’s not clear what the future holds but some fans believe this beautiful child could turn out to be the son of Oz Haggerty ( Max Faugno). Others suggest he might turn out to be Spencer’s baby and that somehow he will end up raising him with Trina. The timeline for this is wrong and Spencer said from the beginning the child could not be his.
Fans are loving Baby Ace
On Monday as Valentin was looking at the cold dead body of his father he said the words many fans were hoping for. He told dear old Dad that a new day was coming for the Cassadine clan so if Ace belongs to Nikolas perhaps he has hope of surviving being in this villainous family. The flip side is that his maternal grandparents are Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and Heather Webber (Alley Mills). it’s difficult to look at those beautiful twins and even consider that one day in the future Baby Ace could turn into a monster like his relatives on both sides including his mother.
General Hospital spoilers have revealed that Heather will soon be showing her face again so she will probably try to sneak in a moment to see her handsome grandson Baby Ace. Hopefully, GH viewers can enjoy Jay and Joey Clay for a long time before they begin growing or Ace is Soras (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome).
