So you don’t miss any of our TLC updates. So Caleb Willingham has died at the age of 40. You probably know him because he got married to Tammy Slaton in the last episode of last season’s 1000-lb Sisters.

And she married him and then she kept working on her health and she got out of rehab. Finally, she got to go home to settle in with her family. And then reportedly she and Caleb were estranged because he wasn’t sticking to his diet. He wasn’t sticking to the program so that he could, you know, get out of rehab and come and start a life with her.

And so Tammy Slaton was considering filing for divorce. That news broke in May. But then today the news broke that Caleb Willingham has passed away.

Tammy also released a statement that said, I’m devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly. When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.

Caleb’s death first came out to public attention on Facebook when a friend of his wrote, “Rest in peace Caleb Willingham, aka Double K”.

Love Story of Tammy and Caleb on 1000-lb Sisters
And they called him half of the dynamic WWF tag team champions and called him my biggest supporter in anything I do. If you don’t remember much about last season on TLC’s 1000-lb Sisters, Tammy shocked her family when she announced that she’d met someone in rehab and that they were getting engaged. And then poof.

They were engaged in getting married. And it really alarmed people because Caleb specifically came and checked into that rehab because a friend’s wife knew he had a crush on Tammy and said, “She’s here at this rehab” and he lived relatively close by. So he was able to check himself in. But then he hid away in his room for months because he had some severe health conditions, of course, associated with morbid obesity. And when he finally made it out of his room and worked up the courage, then he and Tammy hit it off right away.

In November of 2022, they staged a wedding for TLC cameras. And in fact, they didn’t get legally married then until January 18th, 2023, a day before their marriage license expired. Those marriage licenses in Ohio are only good for 60 days and they came in right under the wire making their marriage legal. And it seems like they did the other ceremony for TLC cameras.

Caleb Willingham’s Untimely Passing
The bottom line is Caleb Willingham has died less than seven months after marrying Tammy Slaton. Our respects to his family and his widow, Tammy Slaton.
