Todd & Julie Chrisley Offer Sad Anniversary News .. They Can't Get Out of Prison Early and Must Stay in Jail for the Full Sentence .

Todd and Julie Chrisley recently shared some somber news on their 28th wedding anniversary. Due to their imprisonment in different states, they were not only unable to celebrate together but were also denied the opportunity to speak to each other over the phone. This restriction comes despite the fact that married inmates generally have the right to monitored phone calls, which was approved by Julie’s warden but denied by Todd’s warden. This denial is reportedly seen as retaliation for Todd and his daughter speaking out about poor prison conditions (WSB-TV) (TV Shows Ace).

Additionally, Todd and Julie are expected to serve their full prison sentences, as their appeals for early release have been unsuccessful. The couple is currently serving a combined 15-year sentence for conspiring to defraud banks and the IRS (TV Shows Ace).

Todd and Julie Chrisley just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. However, they clearly couldn’t celebrate it together since they are in different prisons in different states. Not only that, but the couple announced some sad news about their anniversary this year.

Here is what happened to Todd and Julie on their anniversary.

Todd & Julie Chrisley Have Bad Anniversary This Year

This year, Todd and Julie Chrisley celebrated their 28th anniversary. Not only that, but they ended up celebrating it completely alone. It turns out that, on their anniversary, Todd and Julie were not allowed to speak to each other from prison.

Radar Online reports that the married couple have not spoken for a year. They were denied the right to make phone calls to each other. The couple was found guilty of conspiring to defraud banks and the IRS out of millions of dollars. They received a combined 15-year prison sentence.

Julie described the moment she said goodbye to Todd before they left for prison. “This would be the last time I would speak to my husband face to face,” Julie wrote in a letter to Savannah (via WSB-TV). “We talked on the phone during his ride to Pensacola, I called one last time before I self-surrendered to the camp in Lexington.”

Julie said that she misses Todd so much “that it hurts.” She said she had never been apart from him for so long.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons allows married inmates to have monitored phone calls. However, the prison wardens have to approve it. Todd went through the correct protocols. Julie’s warden allowed it. Todd’s warden denied it. According to Todd’s attorneys, it is “retaliation” for Todd and his daughter speaking out about the poor conditions at FPC Pensacola.

Fans Mock Todd & Julie Chrisley On Their Anniversary

While Todd and Julie Chrisley have the legal right to speak to each other, Todd’s warden refuses it. When this issue was brought up in a recent Reddit thread, no one was sympathetic to the Chrisley family.

The Reddit thread had a photo of the Chrisleys and the comment “who fu**ing cares and why is this news?” The comments all started piling on.

“How awful criminals in prison don’t have the right to speak to each other!”
“They knew what they were willing to sacrifice at the time they were committing the numerous crimes.”
“Crimes have consequences, and they’re learning that particular lesson.”
This also comes just days after a judge stripped Todd and Julie Chrisley of a trust fund that contains nearly $30,000. This was when a judge ordered them to start paying off the restitution they owed.

What are your thoughts on Todd and Julie Chrisley not getting to speak on their anniversary? Do you think it is fair that Todd’s warden is denying them, even though he could legally allow it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Savannah accused Lindsie Chrisley of assisting the government in her parents’ conviction and now, Chrisley Knows Best fans wonder about a letter to the FBI allegedly used in Julie and Todd Chrisley’s trial. There’s a bitter fight between the two women. It started after Savannah told Lindsie not to attend her parents’ oral arguments appeal.

Lindsie Chrisley Accused By Savannah Of Working With The Government

In February, Savannah Chrisley said on a podcast with Jason Tartick, “I find it funny because [Lindsie’s] so-called lawyer wants to say that I’m using her as a ‘punching bag’ for my emotions, which is not true at all because I go off of facts.” She added, “I go off of you have interviews that she did with the FBI for two years…I wholeheartedly believe she was a huge player in this whole fiasco. And it just is what it is…Blood does not mean you are family to someone.”

In 2017, when legal papers were served on Todd Chrisley, Lindsie Chrisley apparently had her son with her, and she wanted to distance herself from the tax investigation. So, she reportedly stayed in contact with Joshua Waites, the Director of the Office of Special Investigations at GDOR. Supposedly, she just wanted to protect her son. However, rumors arrived that Todd Chrisley suspected that Lindsie sold them out to the tax officials.

Savannah Fighting Over Old Injustices Including An FBI Letter?

The Daily Mail reported in 2022, that they obtained “official documents” that showed Todd’s oldest daughter cooperated with the Georgia Tax Department. Other news arrived about a long interview with the FBI. So, it surprised Chrisley Knows Best fans when Lindsie testified in favor of her parents. Additionally, she brushed old allegations of an alleged sex tape under the carpet. That annoyed the judge and the jury. Possibly, that’s why Savannah still feuds with her sister.

Lindsie Chrisley allegedly wrote a letter to the FBI that ended up presented in court. On Reddit, Chrisley Knows Best fans wonder about the truth of that. As the case wasn’t televised, not every document was available for press reporting. Allegedly, Lindsie claimed to the FBI that her father threatened her with a sex tape. She suggested that if she didn’t lie for Todd Chrisley in both tax cases, he would leak it. So possibly, a letter was read in court to counter her sudden turn-around on the stand in Atlanta’s federal case.

Fans Discuss The FBI Letter

On Reddit this week, a Chrisley Knows Best fan asked others if they knew about the FBI letter during Julie and Todd Chrisley’s trial. The OP asked:

letter to fbi from lindsie read in court? Savannah and Grayson refer to a letter to the fbi read in the original first trial. does anyone know if there was a letter read? thx.

In the comments, some people felt sure a letter was read. Others simply don’t know, and more people speculated on the family’s bad blood:

Yea it’s was a letter she wrote before the[y] “forgave” her and the government brought it up when she testified for her parents. Mark braddac (sic)was the one who went and started all of this. If I remember it was like saying she was afraid of Todd or something I don’t exactly remember.
Someone posted an email from court transactions in one of the posts about this today. It didn’t look that bad honestly. Not sure if there’s another one they are referring to.
With comments now locked, more opinions are unavailable. However, TV Shows Ace reported in 2022, “The prosecution also submitted emails from Lindsie to the FBI regarding [a] restraining order against her father.” So, it seems there was a letter read in the court. Perhaps that’s the reason why Savannah and Lindsie Chrisley might never reconcile.
